Rules and Regulations for Kids Q:

1. An entry fee of $15.00 per child and $5.00 for each additional sibling must be received no later than 4:30PM May 25th, 2012.
2. There will be a maximum of 20 entries allowed in the “Kids Q.”
3. There will be two (2) age group distinctions 5-10 and 11-15
4. Preparation, Cooking and Presentation – The child must do the preparation, cooking and presentation. Parents may help with fires and slicing of anything considered dangerous. If a child is unable to do all the above on his own, he is too young to cook.
5. All participants will start out with raw meat furnished by the contest.
6. Handicapped children need not be eliminated from competition, but will be allowed to do as much as they are able with some help from an assigned person.
7. A designated area for cooking will be established by the organizers of the contest.
8. All children will cook in that area on grills provided by the contest.
9. Families with more than one child participating can cook on the same grill with a maximum of three (3) children per grill.
10. Presentations must be done at the cooking site.
11. Parents must be present with the children during the entire cooking process.
12. Slicing meat for the presentation is not required. Judges will be equipped to slice the presentation at the judging table. (Garnish is Optional)
